Andy Rooney Dies

In the spirit of his commentaries, kindly let us in on your weekend plans (finishing up two projects and getting them in the mail), or what you plan to cook (I have to use some pork blade chops, gee, I think it's pulled pork time), or what's the last movie or three you saw (X-Men: First Class, Captain America, and the animated Batman: Year One, all of which kicked major ass and which I commend to you highly). Or any damn thing.

A week and a half ago, I went to the dentist to have her look at a tooth which needs some work. It was slightly infected, and I said I usually take the antibiotic ciproflaxin.
She said, no no, clindamycin is much better for teeth.
About four days ago, I began to have extreme pain in my left hip, which hasn't been too great for the past few years anyway, but I mean extreme -- paralyzing, take-my-breath-away pain, with muscle spasms that brought tears to my eyes.
Did I say brought? Bring.
Clindamycin lists, among its potential side effects less frequent urination (which I had, and gained a few pounds in water weight, thanks so much) and joint pain. And even though I felt some better yesterday, and even better today, I went out for an errand and by the time I got there I couldn't get out of the van. Driving was awful. I barely made it back inside the house.
(According to those symptoms, it may be bursitis. I don't think it's a stress fracture of my hip -- I don't think that would subside for hours at a time.)
I see my doctor Tuesday. Please hope she can do something for me, because otherwise this throws my being at WindyCon and ChamBanaCon in jeopardy.
