She sounds a lot like Madonna from ten years ago or so. I like the lyrics. I bet a bunch of parents are going to find it objectionable, though. Hating others appears to be "in" currently.

There are a LOT of people who have been commenting/complaining about how much this sounds like "Express Yourself." I'm just trying to look at that with mash-up potential in mind. ;-)
I've heard more than a few grumblings about her use of "chola" and "Orient" in the lyrics, as well, more the latter than the former. It takes a little of the empowerment out of the song if you're resorting to derogatory names for the sake of a rhyme (cf: my icon, and the song/video from which it was taken).
On the one hand, the social/political sentiment is nice.
On the other, it's a freaking Lady Gaga song!!!
It isn't saying anything that wasn't said in La Cage aux Folles with better melody and dancing. It won't outrage anybody except the Christian right, who hate everything anyway. And it's not going to bring diversity to people who never wanted to be diverse to begin with. I say it's Gaga Gorilla's attempt to prove she can do "daring" social problem songs.
Very good song. I think Lady Gaga is one of the few popstars to have the potential to stick around for a while. She's definitely got the musical chops for it anyway.
