Date: 2011-06-03 10:31 am (UTC)I ended up memorizing all of Wadworth's damned inaccurate poem for English class. And my grandparents lived in Concord, so I used to ride my bike past the place where Revere was captured, and Samuel Prescott finished the Ride.
I don't expect non-New Englanders to be familiar with the historical inaccuracies of the poem, but every American should know "One if by Land, two if by sea...."
