Most of all, I think the privatizing-Medicare bullshit Congress is trying to pull, the three wars we're in, the complete lack of job programs on the table, lack of health care, the climate crisis, and the fact that we've got some seriously damaged and deranged people getting ready to run for president next year are all way more important than Weiner's wiener.
But then, I'm a dirty effing hippie, and I'll never be a Very Serious Person. So hey.

The salient facts: A Congressman accidentally Tweeted a crotch shot to the whole wide world, then lied about it. The media hounded him for the truth, and he's admitted his personal failing. And now we get to figure out what the public policy implications of the whole affair ought to be. I don't know about you, but it makes me see Keynesian economics in a whole new light.I think Rep. Weiner is an outspoken, passionate defender of liberal values. I think he's an idiot for taking a picture of his crotch and putting it online.
p.s.: We're still waiting for Sen. David Vitter's comments on today's news.
