filkertomGot home about 10:00 p.m. last night after a long and mostly pleasant driving day. I will report on the rest of ConTata later, but short form: amazingly fun. Great time, new friends, much love for older friends, really good steak. More detail later. Today, I have to go to the store, do laundry, and -- oh yeah -- sleep. A lot.

(And, I knew Ruth's Chris was good -- I just had never really had it in my adult life. [The one time I did was for my birthday with my mom, many years ago, too long ago to remember and too inexperienced to appreciate.] And it was, indeed, gooooood.)

And you -totally- lived up to our expectations -- it was a blast! [btw; Jon, not John; a pretty minor point, I admit].
I went out to Ruth's Chris twice myself (ok, not by myself; with Lisa, and the first time also with Christine and eventually Aaron) and it was lovely -- but somehow, between needing/wanting to get places [Saturday we were late for the RHMS rehersal; Sunday I just wanted to get to the Rotten Apple as we'd started dinner late] and distraction I managed to leave stuff behind both times! However, both times it was trivial to retrieve what had been lost!

And tomorrow is the Simulated 200-Question Multistate Examination. Joy.

And me being the Tech.Wizard, I managed to score a laptop with barcode scanner so we don't have to drag every book to the circulation desk to get it scanned into the system (Yay for Technology!)
(Memo to my previous self - working in a library is not just getting to read all the new books first!)
