The Sounds of Silence

filkertomI am going to have two teeth extracted in about an hour. This has been a long time coming. They hurt like crazy, I am already on antibiotics, and I am likely to be Not Very Talkative the next few days. Having small parts of your body ripped out does that. If you happen to communicate with me and I happen to be snappish, please understand it is nothing personal; it is the pain talking, and if all goes well I'll be better by the weekend.

ETA: Well, that could've sucked even worse. The dentist was extremely good, but my face didn't want to get numb, and one of the teeth was a "hot tooth", so badly infected that it couldn't get numb. I didn't yell as much when I messed up the leg, and I didn't cry when I did that, either. But... it's done. Except for the next couple days of recovery. Hugs to you all, thanks for the good thoughts.

Date: 2011-09-22 10:34 pm (UTC)When I had my wisdom teeth yanked, between the drugs and rinses I didn't have too much trouble with pain. (I had them knock me out completely for the actual procedure.) The annoying part was the sticking to soft food for a day or two afterwards.
