Flexeril helped me sleep the night through. I'm a little sore this morning, about where I was during Windy (which is quite manageable), except that a wrong move sends a nice jolt of pain through my hip.

This is pissing me off. I must run some errands today, and I'd like to successfully get in and out of the van, in and out of the store, etc. That's all.

Yeesh.

Unfortunately you have to have time to let everything rest. Completely. Yeah I am listening to myself too (looks at the painkillers and muscle relaxer on the desk). But I have errands to run too. Food will not buy itself and truck itself to my house.

(mine is not hip, but tailbone... my doctor is perplexed at how I lived 10 + years with a messed up tailbone)

Ya have to give all the muscles time to relax and repair. Ya might have to move extra slow and extra careful for days (yeah ray of sunshine aren't I?) The muscle relaxers are not going to help the pain much, Flexeril was my best friend for 3 years. But I am glad you were able to sleep.

Lol so if moving wrong hurts, don't move wrong? =p *ducking under my rock now*

Hope that the meds are helping. Has your doctor ruled out arthritis? I was being treated for 6 months for a pulled groin muscle, changed doctors and the new one said.."arthritis".

Oh, I'm sure it very well could be arthritis. I've got it in a few other joints. I have to set up an appointment for my first visit to the walk-in free clinic for this Saturday, where I can get an X-ray.

A proposition for you.

So, there's this body worker, who has been living in California for eight years, but who just moved back to MI, though on the other side of the state. But it turns out that he and his family are going to be in A2 from Wednesday 11/23 through some time on Saturday 11/26, including an open-house-shaped thing on Friday the 25th, and he would be very pleased to offer you a session of body work in payment for all the music you have made over the years, and in memory of times gone by and Rune Quest and other sillinesses at the Michigan Union.

Logistics would be something we'd have to work out, but I'm game if you're in town Thanksgiving weekend. I can't promise miracles, but I can at least help you figure out root causes and maybe provide some relief, and perhaps some ideas for things you can do. I'll be in town periodically once I work out the best way to get back and forth.

So, it's a new world, and the economy is fucked and we're both struggling to get by. We gotta take care of one another, no my friend?

What a lovely damn idea. On the other hand, I'm toastmaster at ChamBanaCon Thanksgiving weekend, and I'm leaving early Thursday, and Wednesday will likely be spent in last-minute whatever. It's possible, but I'm not gonna count on it. Dammit. Because it would be great to get together with you in any case. (I'm having dinner with Matt Fulton, or more properly Stewart-Fulton, tomorrow, and Chris Steigerwald is actually out your way, in Pacifica.)

Well, we'll be hitting town as early on Wednesday as I can manage to get us there. Why don't you write me off site (email's in my profile I think) and we can exchange current contact info and put our heads together about this. If it can happen, then it shall, so that hopefully you head off in better shape.

Why does it seem that the simplest of necessary activities become the greatest frustrations when quirks and malfunctions of the body prevent one from accomplishing them? The more time I spend effectively stuck on bed rest, the more I appreciate Robert Louis Stevenson and his well-worded frustrations with the "Land of Counterpane." Many hugs, and hopes that your body will soon catch up with your spirits.
