Jul. 22nd, 2004 07:04 amGreat sadness for fans of movie music. Jerry Goldsmith, composer of dozens of superb movie and TV scores, has passed away at the age of 75.
He composed the more modern theme from Star Trek, as well as the scores for Patton, Gremlins, Planet of the Apes, Alien, Aliens, Poltergeist, The Secret of Nimh, Legend, Twilight Zone: The Movie, and a host of others.
