... finally nicked it from [livejournal.com profile] musicmutt:
  • Name a CD you own that you think no one else on your friends list does: I say without hesitation that I've got a freakin' stack of 'em, but the winner would have to be the original soundtrack for the Ed Wood-written movie Orgy of the Dead
  • Name a book you own that you think no one else on your friends list does: The Point Man by Steve Englehart
  • Name a Movie/DVD/VHS that you think no one else on your friends list has: The Return of Captain Invincible, starring Alan Arkin and Christopher Lee
  • Name a place that you have visited that you think no one else on your friends list has: Celebration, FL (okay, okay, it was by accident in the middle of the night, but still)
  • Name a tool/piece of technology that you think no one else on your friends list owns: a 10" brass shoehorn

I have at least some of this taped at the end of my old-school Japanese Bootleg of Rocky Horror.

Bwaha. Because of the songs written by Richard O'Brien, I'd bet.

Snap. Great film. And just ordered the disc from Amazon on the strength of this post. (£3.33...can't argue with that for value.)

"Who is the one true friend of America?
Friend to its people from farmer to Senator?"

and so on.

Into the green!

I bought and read The Point Man when it first came out, but if I
still have it, it's buried in a box somewhere.

Kewl. Another that leaps to mind would be Incubus, the movie in Esperanto starring William Shatner.

There is road construction on the interchange for the south entrence of Disney World. If you are heading for Kissamee, you get detoured through Celebration.

So...

On our Dec Fl trip, we passed through Celebraton around 6 times.

Almost actually went there, to mail our holiday cards, but our hotel was able to send them for us.

This was a trip I took with [livejournal.com profile] huskiebear a few years ago. We basically made the wrong turn off the main drag in Kissimmee at 1:00 am, and ended up at an entrance sign in front of a big empty field. No lights for about 200 yards; it looked like a scene out of Silent Hill, and we reacted accordingly and Got The Frack Out.

Not sure about all the categories, but I bet no one else has the CD of "Have Moicy" by Michael Hurley and the Unholy Modal Rounders (with Jeffrey and the Clamtones).

And Dan and I once spent a memorable week in Benson, AZ.

"The Point Man by Steve Englehart"

I've got this, but I have yet to read it. It was in a box of books that I rescued from a yard sale.

I've also got a copy of "Hamlet" in the Original Klingon. :)

My shoehorn is actually 2 feet long or thereabouts, and looks like a riding crop. It is not brass. And you don't have one like mine, either. /grins
