Back from Dragon*Con
Sep. 5th, 2006 12:54 pmAnd that's a wrap on another one. Many, many thanks to everyone involved -- Teri Wachowiak (her first year in charge of filking, and she did a superb job), Pat Henry, Brenda Tackett, Mischa Hess, Paul Cashman, the sound guys at the Saturday night set, just ever-damn-body with the con. Thanks to the very nice folks who came to my concerts and to my table (way, way too many to list here, although I have to mention Peter Popovich of Oasis). Thanks to
lukeski and
wormquartet and
devospice and Throwing Toasters and the Boogie Knights and the Brobdingnagian Bards and Heather Alexander and all the rest of the folk/comedy music telent. Thanks to Phil Foglio and John Lotshaw and Bill Holbrook.
Yeah.
So, what stories do you have to tell of this weekend, Dragon*Con-related or not? And how's the rest of the week looking?

Date: 2006-09-05 05:49 pm (UTC)I sent a novel off to my editor.
I was ridiculously domestic in ways involving laundry, beef brisket and fluffy yarn.
Otherwise: nothing much

Date: 2006-09-05 07:06 pm (UTC)Settling back home now, and playing catchup, which I still have to do, despite having my laptop with me. Part of me SO wants to go again next year, the rest of me doesn't even want to think of doing any more travelling for awhile. ;)

Date: 2006-09-05 07:46 pm (UTC)Weekend...
Date: 2006-09-05 07:46 pm (UTC)I also saw a SMALL clip on CNN's site about Dragoncon. (Mostly costumes, but a few seconds of Emerald Rose with possible Heather Alexander performing Fire in the Head. I was not able to recognise the 2nd song they were playing, but I don't think it was yours.) :(
Did anyone happen to record the concert? (In other words, do we send money to you again soon??)

Date: 2006-09-09 01:09 am (UTC)It was good to see you again, and to be one of the screaming hordes at your concerts. It's always fun to listen to you, and see the fun you have at your chosen vocation ;p
The lil' dragon says hi, btw.
