How do you sell music online? It's something we're thinking about doing where I work. When I do buy a filk album from you or Devo Spice or Lukeski I get an email with a link valid for X days. That seems like a good method. What company do you use? Thanks.
but have you considered putting a few pieces of music through to Mashable for their Free Music Mondays? Talk about an *audience*...
Post about it: http://mashable.com/2010/01/25/10-free-downloads/ Huge thanks to everyone for the great submissions we’re getting. If you sent us tracks and we haven’t featured them yet, stay tuned for a future Free Music Monday. If you’d like to submit tracks for yourself or an artist you represent, give us a shout at barb AT mashable DOT com. Be sure to send us an MP3 or two we can use (no more than 25MB file size total please) or send us a link to listen to tracks you’re willing to provide as a free download. Thanks everyone!
I'm debating baking an apple pie (probably from prepackaged ingredients - I'm really not feeling like peeling/coring/slicing apples by hand), or making garlic cheese biscuits.
I improv'd with what I had onhand. 1 stick of unsalted butter, 2 cans of buttermilk biscuit dough, several hands-full of pre-shredded "taco cheese" (hey, it's what my mom-in-law had in the fridge), and a generous amount of powdered garlic.
I melted the butter and mixed in the powdered garlic. I coated the bottom of a baking dish with some of the butter. I cut the biscuit dough into quarters (each biscuit because 4 wedges, so there were 32 wedges per can). I dipped each wedge into the butter and dropped it into the pan. After a layer of biscuit, I sprinkled on a generous amount of cheese. Layer of biscuit, layer of cheese. When I ran out of biscuit, I poured the remaining butter over the dough and shoved the dish in a pre-heated 350F oven. Baked for about 20 min, then chopped it up, mixed it around so that the still-raw insides were now exposed, and baked for another 15-20 min.
Thanks. I actually went out and bought a box of Bisquick and a half gallon of milk last night. Life can be unfair to the single person. Smaller sizes of foodstuffs and not proportionally cheaper so I have to use it or loose it. I'm going to go with the package's biscuit recipe but with garlic powder and cheese mixed. Maybe some bay spice too.
Betty Crocker's Garlic Cheese Biscuits (http://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes.aspx/cheese-garlic-biscuits/afa7e3c4-f295-4384-9524-688e338f08d8) - I've used this in the past with success, upping the garlic amount.
My only problem with that recipe is how you brush the melted garlic butter on the biscuits. I don't have a paint brush for cooking and I don't want to deal with the maintenance of having one. I don't think they would go through the dishwasher too well and storage would likely be a pain too. Thanks though!
That's why I bought a silicon brush when they were on sale a Meijer. It works really well and is easy to clean...at least by hand. I wish I had a dishwasher.
I don' believe this...we're flying in from Texas Friday....and the weather in Seattle is supposed to be 20 degrees WARMER than in Dallas...safe journeys & see ya there, Tom. Casey/October Country

It was weird, but it's what I had onhand :)
