With some help from his writers, the production crew, and Comedy Central, of course. Lots of good stuff on the Colbert Report, too.
Stephen Colbert Gives Us The Word
Sep. 29th, 2011 09:23 am"Labor Chains". (Yes, yes, I know, it's two words. He does that a lot. Go see it anyway, you will laugh like a loon.)
First,
huskiebear made sure I saw this, and now I pass it on to you:
And I showed you that so you could read this.
Every time I hear anything that moron says, my brain leaps into full G&S mode:

Every time I hear anything that moron says, my brain leaps into full G&S mode:
There's a gasbag called Sean Hannity,
Who is paid to spew inanity.
It'll drive you to insanity,
And I weep for all humanity....
Now THAT'S How To Make A Statement
May. 20th, 2011 07:50 amNausea has given way to hilarity as pseudo-intellectual, scandal-plagued hypocrite, and failed politician Newt Gingrich apparently really believes he has a shot at becoming President of these United States.
The most recent example of the true comic genius of the Gingrich campaign is this official press release, which truly could not be appreciated by us lesser mortals until Stephen Colbert had it read dramatically by John Lithgow.

Best Cover Of "Friday" Evar
Apr. 3rd, 2011 12:50 pmOkay, this stupid catchy inane song obviously needs to be done with a whole lot of tongue in cheek. So who better than Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Taylor Hicks, and the Roots? (It was apparently done for as, basically, a bet, to raise money for DonorsChoose.org; the full version with an intro is here.)
If this keeps up, the song is gonna become a beloved American classic. And I'm beginning to wonder if that would be a bad thing.

Kneel Before Neil
Jan. 7th, 2011 11:31 amI admit I'm very curious as to how Bill O'Reilly and Stephen Colbert get along so well, when Colbert destroys him so easily.
Don't Taze Me, Whippersnapper
Aug. 14th, 2010 07:33 amWhen I was teenish, my version of what has become "pwned" or "burned" was "Bzap! Fried".
If only I'd known what the future would look like.
